Welcome to My Andy Griffith Show Page.  I'm sure I sound like everyone else, when I say that this show is by far the best show that has ever graced the TV screen.  Morally, ethically, and politically, it can't be touched by any other show.  Now, my favorite sitcoms are, of course, Friends, and Seinfeld, & Cheers, Everybody Loves Raymond, and since I have written this Andy Page, All of the above are off the air, except re-runs.

But let's think about October 3, 1960.  That's when The Andy Griffith Show was born on CBS.  The show ran for eight seasons and 249 episodes.   And even Today, we can watch The Andy Show at least 6 times a day, in my area alone.  I love Seinfeld and Friends, but I can't see their reruns doing half of what Andy has done. Even though Seinfeld is on at least once a day now in my area, and Friends is twice a day.  Today's actors are lazier than the actors of the 60's.  Think about 249 episodes in eight years.  And Seinfeld has been on for 9 years and only about 160 episodes.

I have many episodes on tape,  I believe I have about 187 episodes out of 249 taped with no commercials. In my area alone,  The Andy Griffith Show can be seen about 6 times a day during the week on 3 different channels.  On the weekend it only goes to more ANDY on more channels.

If you know of any other Andy Griffith Links or you would like yours added to this page, Please email me the URL of the page.

I use to take picture requests, but I can't any more.  I was using a snappy program and I do not use it any longer, but might again one day.  This pictures look great don't they?

Many people have requested pictures of Ernest T. Bass, someone even thought that he looked like George W. Bush.  So I made this one.

Lyrics To The Theme Song

"The Fishing Hole"

Well, now, take down your fishin' pole and
meet me at The Fishin' Hole,
We may not get a bite all day, but don't you
  rush away.
What a great place to rest your bones and
  mighty fine for skippin' stones,
You'll feel fresh as a lemonade, a-settin' in the
  shade.
Whether it's hot, whether it's cool, oh what a
spot for whistlin' like a fool.
What a fine day to take a stroll and wander by
  The Fishin' Hole,
I can't think of a better way to pass the time
  o'day.
We'll have no need to call the roll when we get
  to The Fishin' Hole,
There'll be you, me and Old Dog Trey, to doodle
  time away.
If we don't hook a perch or bass, we'll cool our
  toes in dewy grass,
Or else pull up a weed to chaw, and maybe set
  and jaw.
Hangin' around, takin' our ease, watchin' that
  hound a-scratchin' at his fleas.
Come on, take down your fishin' pole and meet
  me at The Fishin' Hole,
I can't think of a better way to pass the time
  o'day.

Lyrics to the song Aunt Bee and Clara Edwards wrote about Mayberry.

My Hometown
My home town is the greatest place I know,
Where the neighbors I find are gentle and kind,
And the living is easy and slow,
My hometown is the only place to be,
Here the worries are small, and the kids grow tall and healthy and
free,
It's my hometown, my hometown, Mayberry, Mayberry.
